INSTRUCTORS
Meet Audrey : Head Coach / Founder
Hi! I’m Audrey Keliehor, Founder and Head Coach of Audswimmers.
I’ve been in the water since I was 7 years old, and for over a decade now, coaching has been my passion and profession.
Since launching Audswimmers in 2021, I’ve taught over 500 students how to swim, from toddlers taking their very first splash to adults conquering lifelong fears. With 10+ years of coaching experience in both private and group settings, I bring a balance of structure, patience, and energy to every lesson.
I specialize in adaptive instruction and have extensive experience working with children on the spectrum, creating an environment where every swimmer feels safe, understood, and capable. My approach is individualized, results-driven, and rooted in trust, because progress happens when swimmers feel confident and supported.
Meet Shanna : Instructor
Hi! I’m Shanna, and I’m a new swim coach training under Audrey! Over the past year I’ve worked as both a lifeguard and swim coach, and I’m excited to continue growing in this role while learning from Audrey’s passion and experience. Outside of the pool, I am currently a sophomore at Nova Southeastern University on the pre-med track and I’ve spent nearly a decade working with children through babysitting, tutoring, and work which has helped me develop patience and encouragement. My goal as a coach is to create a positive and safe environment where kids feel confident, thrive, and genuinely enjoy being in the water. I strive to help each swimmer build lifelong water safety skills and develop confidence step by step. More than anything, I want kids to feel proud of themselves, look forward to lessons, and know they’re always encouraged and celebrated in my class. It means a lot to me to be part of their growth, their smiles, and the little victories that turn into big milestones
LIFEGUARDS:
Meet Ben:
Hi everyone! My name is Ben Schmelzer and I’ve been a Red Cross certified lifeguard for nearly four years. I started lifeguarding at a summer camp in 2022 and later worked year-round at my local JCC, so I’m very comfortable working with kids of all ages. I’ve been swimming my whole life and was captain of my high school swim team, so the pool has always felt like home to me! I’m currently studying Marketing at the University of Central Florida, and I love bringing a positive, upbeat energy to every lesson or event. My goal is always to keep kids safe while making sure they’re having the best time possible!
Meet Mia:
With three years of lifeguarding under my belt, I'm bringing a ton of experience to the table. I've got my Lifeguard and WSI certifications from the American Red Cross, plus CPR and AED certs from the American Heart Association. I've spent summers at the DPJCC pool and school years doing birthday parties. Being named "Guard of the Summer" by the Aquatics Director at the DPJCC shows how serious I take my job and the devotion I have to it. While I love having fun with the kids and making sure they feel safe, my ultimate goal is to ensure their well-being. This job has really prepped me for anything that might come my way. I'm super confident that my experience will help me bring my 'A' game while I major in nursing at UCF, which I'm starting this summer.
Meet Kaitlin:
Hi! I’m Kaitlin, I am a certified lifeguard and have been lifeguarding for over a year. It has quickly become one of my favorite jobs! I love having such an important role in keeping everyone safe around the water and ensuring families can relax and enjoy their time at the pool. Being attentive, responsible and prepared for anything is something I take a lot of pride in while I am on duty. Outside of lifeguarding, I am a sophomore at Nova Southeastern University studying to become a pediatric nurse. I’ve worked with kids in numerous ways throughout my life and caring for them is my biggest passions. My goal is always to make others feel safe, supported and confident!
